Description
This is my book of poems. Adding a touch of the occasional dry humor, I learn to make peace with the feelings I've been trained to mask. I allow myself to feel the struggles, triumphs, hurt, and joy of this crazy life. I write about nature, mental health, family, day to day life, etc. Comfy Within is simply my attempt to feel more comfortable sharing my true self. For years I've dimmed my own light: Made myself be quiet and small. But I refuse to continue that path. I do try to make it relatable. I'm in no way a professional poet. I write simply. The everyday reader should be able to read it without gouging their eyes out. We're making friends with poems here, not enemies! For reference, I am an adult. I only post clean writing, but you might not relate to my economy references if you don't have to pay bills yet :) You don't have to pay bills to read it, though. I'll cover plenty of other topics, too!
