Prologue

Kayleigh had always known she was living in the wrong world.
On her eleventh birthday, the world would know who she truly was. Before then she must return to her home world, away from her adoptive parents, who have loved and cared for her all her life.
But to stay in the world she loves would mean certain death.
In a split planet, one half is magical, the other not, she is forced to journey through one into another, alone, to hide who she truly is until she is where she truly belongs.
Her journey begins here, two months before her eleventh birthday, as she prepares for her seemingly impossible task.
