Description
After being admitted into an insane asylum, the once-admired Dr. Henry Jekyll is now forced to a life of isolation. Except he isn't alone: his distillation and alter ego known as Edward Hyde remains, haunting him every waking moment as projected reflections and animate shadows. Jekyll was diagnosed with schizophrenia and a split personality disorder, and it was thought that he was imagining his transformations and the person Hyde altogether. However, this completely changes when the transformations begin happening of their own accord without the assistance of the formula the doctor created. When Hyde is discovered and Jekyll reported missing, the doctor finds himself treading on dangerous grounds blurring the lines between reality and insanity. TRIGGER WARNING: This story is rated mature because of suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts, mention of drug and alcohol abuse, and sexual implications. While young adults can read this without fear of stumbling across explicit content, some of the mentioned above may not be suitable for younger audiences.
