Prologue

When The Ōoku is plagued by a supernatural disturbance, a Mononoke born from intense emotional suffering, repression, and past trauma-particularly among the women who live in isolation and are bound by strict, often cruel rules of status and hierarchy. Kage Hayashi goes to investigate, planning to go undercover by acting as a New girl to discover the Mononoke while trying not to get noticed by much people and accidentally become a concubine or scribe, ends up meeting with a different Mononoke who desires to discover the truth with her as well, yet only one is allowed in.

All the characters in this Book all belong to Kenji Nakamura, except mine, Kage Hayashi.
