Description
Meline is a young maidservant and former guard of the Day Court, the Cerulean kingdom's prized jewel. She has largely lived her life in peace and predictability, despite her misgivings about the court she works for. However, when she stumbles onto a conversation not meant for her ears, Meline is chased down and promptly killed--almost. Somehow, Meline is able to escape the jaws of death, currying the favour of the Great King, a diety she thought would have wanted nothing to do with her, and after He gives her the title of "Mighty warrior" Meline ends up fleeing the Day Court and lands herself in Zorora, the warrior capital of Cerules, to become one of their number. Now she is living a life completely opposite the one she had chosen for herself, and it's even more difficult than she had originally imagined. In Zorora, Meline struggles to come to terms with the King's purpose for her life, and she has a hard time deciding on whether or not she can trust His intentions or if she can even do what He asks, but she'll have to decide quickly, for destruction is coming, and it is riding on the wings of betrayal.
