Description
Scarlet has always been the type to wear hoodies with the hood up, sleeves pulled over her hands, and her nose buried in a book. She does whatever she can to avoid being noticed. When she moved to a new town after her parents' divorce, life with her single mom, who was always working, felt pretty lonely. Then she developed a secret crush on Oliver, the school's most popular guy. Her quiet nights began to fill with thoughts of him, and loneliness became her closest companion. Luckily, she became friends with Julie, Oliver's sister. Julie was outgoing and confident, everything Scarlet wasn't. But she struggled with math, and that's where Scarlet came in. Even though they were total opposites, one an extrovert and the other an introvert, they got along well. Helping Julie with homework turned into hanging out, spending time at each other's houses, and slowly, Scarlet found herself more involved in their lives. In some ways, being around Oliver felt easier. But in others, it only made things more complicated. She tried to keep it all quiet, but things were starting to shift, and the drama was just beginning.
