Lyric's life was hell. Her dad was an alcoholic who committed suicide. After her brother left for college her mom started abusing her. After her mother nearly beats her to death, she goes to live with her brother and his family. He refuses to talk about what happened so she tries to move on. She wants to reinvent herself and leave the past behind.
But her past left scars, and they won't be ignored.
