The First Day of School

Kara and America are sweet girls that have changed some bit into Middle School. But there hoping not to change to much. In the beginning of the school year they're invited to become popular. They both agree to doing this new difference and accept the others invite. Once they are popular, they start to feel different and not like their selves. Could this change there friendship forever? Or could it break them apart over being who they really are? Was this the other popular girls plan to separate their friendship? Is it just a joke being played?
