Description
Sometimes the most broken people find the most beautiful grace. Julia spends her nights studying the stars and her days analysing radio signals from distant galaxies. She believes in patterns, mathematics, and God; some things are worth waiting for. When she meets Titus behind a jazz café, cigarette smoke curling between them as they talk about constellations and faith, she thinks she's found someone who might understand both the science and the sacred. Titus fixes broken things for a living: radios, wiring, anything with circuits he can untangle. But he can't seem to fix himself. Three years after his wife left him for another man, he's still drowning in whiskey and one-night stands, convinced he's too damaged for real love. He doesn't believe in God anymore, doesn't believe in forever, doesn't believe in much of anything. ---- Author's Note: Some of this is taken from my own life experiences, some from other people I've known in my life.
