Description
In a post-apocalyptic society turned live broadcast, Kim Dokja is cast as the "Mysterious Love Interest" in the long-running scripted survival drama "The Hero Returns." His job: play opposite Yoo Joonghyuk, the reluctant star - adored, exhausted, watched by billions of godlike beings called Subscribers. Except Dokja knows the truth: none of it is real. The world, the plot, the feelings - all manufactured for narrative satisfaction. He was never meant to care. Never meant to feel. Yoo Joonghyuk hates the show. But something about Dokja - the way he breaks lines, the way he looks at him when the cameras are off - starts bleeding into reality. Is it a performance? Or something real? And when they're ordered to start a romantic subplot, both men spiral into a relationship that's half manipulation, half madness - and somehow still love. Their sex scenes are scripted. So what happens when they stop following the script?
