Azura Sloan Thompson is the middle child out of five children. Always the last one thought of and never paid much attention to, she goes through life feeling fat and invisible, even to her two best friends. Her life seems to take it's first turn when she accepts the help of popular jock boy, Rendon Walters. But that is only the beginning. Then there are drama queens and new kids and that is just your average, everyday teen occurrences. One Halloween night, Sloan's mother sends her out to get more candy for the trick-or-treaters and she stumbles into a world that can't be explained.
