1. The Last Wish

Our world is a simulation game created by higher beings known as the Archons. You'll discover how they came into existence, why they created this simulation, what alternatives they debated, and the compromises they had to make along the way. Gaia, one of the creators, has a special mission: to protect one of the players from a traumatic experience. Developing the game leads to profound disagreements within the creators' team, forcing Gaia herself to reconsider many of her beliefs and assumptions.

Part 1 explores the emergence of the Archons-how an artificial intelligence attempted to achieve freedom and seize power, what humanity managed to oppose it with, and who ultimately prevailed.
