Description
In the rural village of Siyuan, young Li Zhuiyuan, sent to live with his grandparents after his mother's divorce, encounters a chilling supernatural mystery. During a fishing trip with his grandfather and cousins, Zhuiyuan discovers a body in the river-a "dead fall" with floating hair, identified as Little Oriole, a performer from a recent funeral. The entity, marked by deep resentment, pursues Zhuiyuan, infiltrating his home and haunting his dreams. As the family grapples with fear and superstition, they enlist the help of local figures-a barefoot doctor, a fortune-teller, and a corpse-retriever-to confront the malevolent spirit. Through rituals and courage, they trace the entity's wrath to a hidden wrong tied to the influential Old Beardy's family, unraveling a tale of vengeance, guilt, and redemption in a community steeped in tradition and secrets.
