Between Then and Now

I sighed, smirking. "Achol, wake up, or I'm tickling you."
She shifted, stretching slightly. One eye opened just for a second before she was gone again, back into dreams.
I watched her, shaking my head. She never made this easy.
Fine. I leaned in, voice lower now. "Wake up, or I'll put that bitter leaf on your lips."
That got her. A sleepy, half-annoyed whine left her lips. "Ah, nooo. I will eat from tomorrow. Promise."
