In the midst of battle Sun Wukong and Macaque create a portal of much greater scale than either realized they were capable of. Sun Wukong is left sick and battered while Macaque is left to defend for them both in a world and city he doesn't recognize.

Something else came along with them and has ended up in the wrong hands
