When a single mother loses her job, Daphne's brother invites her and her son to stay with his family at their lake house for the summer.
Early in her trip, another single mom - Camren - catches her attention. Soon Daphne feels as though they are running into other too often but forces her to admit that this woman makes Daphne feel things she hadn't allowed herself to feel in years.
Will Daphne finally bring down her guard or will she keep relying on herself and push those that care for her away?
