Rosalind Cooper and Kai Moon were a lot alike. Maybe too alike - however, they were both on two different paths before their lives intertwined because of the Autobots.

Rosalind was just a teenager when she met Bumblebee, their bond was something that no one could have expected. Neither of them were going to leave the other, protecting each other when times got tough.

All Kai needed was to keep his little sister safe and figure out future plans. He, somehow, agrees to a stupid plan, only to get caught up in the Autobots' mission, and finding Ro in the process.
