"I'm sorry," Kant sobbed, voice raw and filled with every ounce of guilt, fear, and self-loathing that had been festering inside him. "I-I just wanted to help, but I'm useless. I mess everything up. I-" His voice cracked. "I don't know how to do this. I thought I could, but I-I can't. I'm scared, Bison. I am scared if I mess up this time, no one will help me"

Bison kissed his forehead again, then his temple, then his cheek. "I love you," he murmured between each kiss, his voice unwavering, filled with so much warmth it was almost unbearable. "I love you so much, Kant."
