Strength. A check on your emotions. And an attitude to back it all up. That's what I believe is all that's needed to survive in the world. Love, Laugh, Live? What bullshit. Drew is the living example of such bullshit. He's effortlessly good at everything, whereas I struggle to be perfect in all my ways. He's a fucking ray of sunlight who brightens up people's worlds. I like everyone to be scared of me. Thrive on it, in fact. We've always been rivals in these ways, and I never expected that to change. But of course, Karma is a bitch. When I'm stuck in a mid-life crisis, of course it's Drew-fucking-Sanders coming to my rescue. And this time, the rescue involves us lying to the entire world (Basically my father and the whole college campus) about a fake scandal and an even faker relationship. This shouldn't be a big deal. None of that romance crap. Just two people, who hate each other, becoming partners in crime for a few months. The only problem is Drew's charismatic, charming ass whom I'm having a whole lot of a hard time resisting. He's inching closer and closer to being the only person who's cracking my exterior to reveal someone I know he won't want. Becoming the only person in whose words I take comfort. Yep. Words that shouldn't have an effect on me. So shouldn't his arms, no matter how cozy they feel. Or his perfectly sculpted face. Or his smile. Stupid. Fucking. Smile. Goddamn it. It's going to end in heartbreak. How do I know? Because he's starting to feel like Apricity...
