In this Fourth Wing prequel, the story unfolds two years before the events of Fourth Wing, centering on Xaden and his twin brother, Kaelen Riorson. While Xaden is fueled by rebellion, disillusioned with the College and its role in the world, Kaelen stands firmly with the leadership, believing that working with the College is the only way to defeat the Venin.
