Chapter 1

Demi is a normal 16 year old girl. Or as normal as a girl who gets beaten at home can be.

She has never told anyone before because her father threatened to kill her.
She is really afraid of him and the only reason she stays at home is because of her younger brother, Kevin.

She goes to school, but she doesn't mix with the other people and she sits alone at lunch.

She works at the local pharmacy to get some money for her and Kevin.
What happens when she meets the guy with the mischievous brown curls and beautiful green eyes.

Will he help her escape or will she push him away?
