In 2078, Detroid's advanced technology is shattered when an asteroid crashes, unleashing the deadly Karians. Professor Joseph Nataro's creation, the Zenin device, is powerless against the creatures. Young Kai Nataro witnesses the brutal death of his mother at the hands of the Karians before being rescued and relocated to Eroshiki Island. There, he joins the Zenin Academy, determined to seek revenge and destroy the Karians, vowing to protect the island from further destruction.
