Cryaotic has more reasoning behind not letting people see his face then he lets on. He doesn't let them see him because he can't see them. And although he is blind, he sees Felix different than anyone else. He sees Felix as an angel, the most handsome man in the world. Maybe him not being able to see will help him sort out his other senses, including his strong emotions towards Felix.
