First Symptoms

As a boat doctor, Kei goes all over the world. Although he's expected to stay with the ship, he usually sneaks off before it's time to disembark. His captain is gracious enough to allow this as he's always been punctual.

On one particular visit to a port in Africa, he was unknowingly infected with a rare, nearly totally unknown disease.
