After her hated biology teacher revealed her biggest secret to the whole class, Astrid Hofferson finds herself in the principal's office. However, she is not the only one. Shortly after appears one of her classmates, the straight-A student Hiccup Haddock. He learns a little bit of Astrid's private life and her problematic grades, which is why their principal thinks of the perfect idea: Tutoring! Both of them don't want to believe it, but for Astrid to be able to graduate next year, her grades must improve, and who would be more helpful than the straight-A student? With a bumpy start, the friendship between these two begins which soon develops into something more and problems come their way.
