Kaguya had been defeated but everyone was dead. She managed to drain everyone traped in The Infinite Tsukuyomi, killing them as a last resort. Now with only Team 7 and obito(who survived the battle) were left to deal with the mess that was left behind and to fix everything Naruto manages to create a time travel seal that sends them all to the past.
