Prologue

A mystery with a strong supernatural element written from the point of view of one of the investigating police officers, that takes the form of a cautionary tale as to what can happen when a dare gets out of hand.

Three girls having a sleepover egg each other on to take part in a ritual that they have discovered on the Internet. As a result, one of them disappears, and this rapidly seizes the attention of people up and down the country. But is it an abduction, plain and simple? Is it a childish prank that has gone wrong? Or is there really something supernatural going on?
