This isn't Odysseus's first time playing the Game, but tonight is different from other Games. Tonight, Polites drew Thirteen. Now, everyone is scrambling to find signals, to be protected, lest they be the lowest number who must Offer him.

Odysseus can't sacrifice his love. Elpenor won't let Perimedes. Polites... Polites isn't sure what to think. Maybe he'll die, maybe he won't, but know one knows what happens to Thirteen when It comes.
