Description
Mingi's feelings for Yunho weren't exactly a secret. Their friends knew. Their families knew. Yunho definitely knew, because Mingi, in his infinite wisdom (and complete lack of self-preservation), had confessed multiple times. And maybe that was the root of the problem. Yunho always knew Mingi would be there. Always by his side, always within reach. And Mingi let it happen, let Yunho take him for granted-until he didn't. For most of his life, Mingi had followed Yunho everywhere. From their shared childhood backyards to late-night anime marathons to enduring Yunho's increasingly questionable habits, Mingi stayed. But after one too many fights with Seonghwa (and one too many reminders that his life revolved around Yunho), the first time in years, Mingi did the unthinkable: he stopped following Yunho everywhere. And that's when Yunho started to notice. Mingi was still around, sure, but he wasn't his anymore. The late-night gaming sessions stopped. The dramatic sighs whenever Yunho lit up yet another joint felt sharper, more real. Suddenly, Mingi was actually slipping away, making Yunho's golden retriever confidence waver, and he hated it. His solution? He doubled down. The teasing got bolder, the jokes hit closer home; anything to get Mingi to react, to keep him close. Even though, deep down, Yunho knew it was unfair. Because Mingi's feelings had never been a joke. What started as a summer of avoidance turned into a game of push and pull, as Yunho wrestled with emotions he hadn't wanted to face, and Mingi had to decide how much more of Yunho's mixed signals he could take. ------ Story takes place in the same universe and time as my first book - "Teenage Dirtbag", but you don't really have to read it to have a go at this one (though it might make the experience better) For more details check my account's Conversations tab! :)
