Prologue

Seventeen year-old Aria Davis was your typical New Yorker, born and raised in Manhattan. After her parents' messy divorce, Aria finds herself being moved twenty-five hundred miles away from her home, forced to settle down in a small town in Canada.

Just when Aria thought things couldn't get any worse, she encounters Daniel Carlson, who just happens to be Cold Lake's darkest secret. Aria soon finds herself plunged into a world of mystery, and that's just when things become interesting.

But some things in life come with a risk, and her life is quickly threatened by Daniel's enemies. Can Aria stay safe?
