Can a broken clock still tell time truthfully? Well, twice a day it can still be.. useful. But only for a minute. You can stare at it all day and try to figure out the problem, but it still won't make a difference. You can't reset the time when you don't know it yourself. A clock, doing the same thing its whole existence that it shattered. Its hands had been broken, perhaps having had enough of reaching for help.
