Set in World War 2.

Scott Hoying, one of the best pilots in his generation, is enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and embarks on his first mission as a second-lieutenant on the Invasion of Sicily. Only...things don't exactly go as planned.

His savior? A brown-eyed, black haired, hot-blooded Italian.
