Preparation

Tom is a sergeant in a detachment from Parliament's army, delivering the pay to the Roundhead army. Unfortunately, the cavalry escort is off chasing the Royalists leaving the pay chests with Tom and his small band of musketeers and pikemen. When Tom sees movement across the stream he thinks they are about to be attacked.
