I swallowed, the dark hot coffee burnt my poor tonsils. I wanted to shout and cry but I managed to suppress my pain. Ms Priestley giggled. "I'm sorry Mr Tremonte, but she's not qualified enough for the job. I'll suggest Macy Williams, she's the best employee we have and she's proficient in the job. Justine is only a secretary." He smiled, showing off his white even teeth. I put down my cup of coffee, I didn't want to risk spilling it onto my lap. I was accident prone and I didn't want Mr Tremonte to think that he was making me nervous to a point that I couldn't control my actions. "Never underestimate the abilities of a secretary, Ms Priestly." Ms Priestley's full lips curved into a smile and then she burst out laughing. She was finding the scene quite amusing, I wasn't.
