I had come to terms that Bastian would probably never settle down, not even for me so the next best thing was to be his best friend.
If that meant picking him up after a night of partying, then I did. If it meant listening to every horny detail, then I did.
I just couldn’t keep from loving him. I just wished I knew if he loved me the same.
Most people would tell me to drop him, but they didn’t know him like I did and they didn’t know the sweet little things he would do, to make me know that he did have feelings and heart of gold.
All my girlfriends said he was damaged goods, but I didn’t listen.
I was all he had, and he was all I ever wanted.
