I'm tired. Very tired. Somehow, I gain enough self control to pull my body groggily out of bed. The carpet, so soft, rushes up to my face. My legs aren't supporting me. They are lead, making me drown in the pool of hopelessness. I can't breathe, but tiredness holds my grasp and pulls me even deeper down into unconsciousness. But just as I am fading away, I start to remember. Brooklyn is paralyzed from the waist down. She is constantly monitored by the hospital she's at. But one day, the nurses have a suspicion about a tumor in Brooklyn's head. If it's cancerous, she only has a twenty percent chance of living. Brooklyn's life is slowly falling apart.
