16-year-old introverted teenager Nick Holloway decides to start an independent life, enrolls in college as a music major, and moves into a trailer to stay away from the noisy dorm crowds. The boy gets a part-time job at an antique shop to pay for his education. But there's one significant caveat - the owner has strictly forbidden Nicholas from entering the store's basement. Naturally, curiosity gets the better of him, and the guy breaks this rule by entering the forbidden room. There, old items that are not for sale are stored, and upon touching each item, Nick sees the history of its owner with his own eyes. And these stories are closely intertwined with one another...
