A year after Colbert Hospital in southern France failed to save a patient from a fatal stroke, strange and terrifying events began to plague the once-respected institution. Murders and suicides followed in rapid succession, shrouded in mystery, with no answers ever found. The halls and rooms of the hospital seemed haunted by an unseen darkness, claiming the lives of patients, doctors, and nurses alike. As the deaths mounted and the hospital's reputation crumbled, founder Richard D. Colbert was forced to make the agonizing decision to permanently close the hospital, its name forever tainted by what many believed to be a sinister curse. Twenty years later, Matheo, a young student and photographer with a fascination for abandoned, history-laden places, comes across the story of Colbert Hospital and its tragic past. Drawn inexplicably to the mystery surrounding the hospital, he convinces five of his friends to join him on a spring break adventure to explore the long-abandoned site. But what begins as a thrill-seeking exploration quickly spirals into a nightmare. Now trapped in a place steeped in darkness, far from home, the group finds themselves facing horrors beyond their imagination.
