Former US Marine Lori Marshall wasn't even forty when she watched the woman she loved die in front of her, and was forced to accept overnight that she would spend the rest of her life bound to a wheelchair. When she was finally badgered into attending a support group for disabled veterans by her therapist, she expected a lot of things, but definitely not for it to change her life.
There, she meets Nora, the daughter of the group's leader - an eleven-year old kid growing up with a lust for life, big personality, and even bigger hair.
