katrina herrington's story starts with her and her best friend , eliza , dying in a tragic "accident." a raven revives katrina , or kat , a year later and she starts remembering everything that happened last year on devil's night in detroit , michigan. she meets eric draven , who was also revived a year later by a crow and mourning his fiancée. both of them team up together to figure out what happened to their loved ones and in the process , they slowly fall for each other.
