In a small, remote village, a youngster named Zeke grows up with one goal in mind: to achieve academically and escape his monotonous circumstances. Raised by parents who prioritise achievement over emotion, he develops a cynical attitude towards love, viewing it as a distraction. As he progresses through his education, he avoids connections and relationships, certain that they will jeopardise his ultimate aims. However, when a new girl arrives in town, her kindness and inquiry start to challenge his ideas.
