Part 1

In App of Control, high schooler Emily discovers a mysterious smartphone app that promises to help her focus, relieve stress, and boost her confidence. At first, it's all harmless fun-until the app begins to make decisions for her. Soon, Emily finds herself unable to resist the suggestions it gives her, even as they become increasingly strange. As the app tightens its grip on her thoughts and actions, Emily realizes she's no longer in control. But by the time she tries to delete it, it's too late-her mind belongs to the app.
