however, adaline's life takes a drastic turn when her old friend who she had a major fallout with, javi rivera, invites her back to the plains of oklahoma to test a groundbreaking, edge-cutting tornado tracking system. this puts adaline in a position where she is forced to be pulled back into the world she had once thought she had left behind. now that she is reunited with the thrills and dangers of storm chasing, she also has a deeper sense of caution and purpose.
