Prologue

In an unexpected twist, Peeta Mellark betrays Katniss Everdeen, ending up being the only winner of District 12. Without the Mockingjay encouraging the Districts to rebel, the Hunger Games proceed without obstacles for the following hundred years. After almost a century Margareth Snow, the great-grandchild of President Snow, intends to take advantage of the distrust formed in time between the various Districts with the Seventh Quarter Quell, enacting a game that will put to the test the trust that the tributes themselves will have in their companions in misfortune.
