After three years in the maze and another year of being tortured in one of wckd's many facilities, Gwen and her new friend Amelia, which she had met after the maze trials, finally get rescued along with many other teenagers and Minho.

She meets friends from the maze trials again and over the weeks in the safe haven she grows closer with one particular friend of Minho, who seems to like her back and it seems too good to be true..
