Jake is getting married. Jake is getting married.
She said over and over to herself as she twirled in bed. So what? He said he loves Lara, she means the world to him. He met her when he was 12 years old, they go riding together on his fathers ranch, and they spend holidays together. They did everything together.
This wasn't a threat, except that Simone had no idea how to ride a horse. She did not spend holidays with boyfriends and neither did she spend it with her family.
Simone put the pillows over her head to drown out her heavy head. Worrying about Jake was too late now because he was as good as married.
