Think of it as me just going to another high school.” “When you say it like that it's even worse.” Adeena Karp's life was over before it even started. Her best friend was moving. She had just started high school as a freshman. Her parents-- especially her mother treats her like she's 6, her ex-best friend ditched her for the high school dance, and worse of all she has to eat near the dumpsters in high school; not by choice but by status. Apparently there's this lunch spot at her new high school called “The Quad,” and it's literally reserved for the cool kids.
