Chapter 1

On a trip of a lifetime before she leaves home to start uni Sara’s life is blown apart when she is taken hostage and brutally raped by guerrilla soldiers, even when she is rescued by the British army she cannot escape the memories and begin to heal. Dan, the soldier who found her, has developed an obsession with saving her. When she is returned to hospital in England, convinced he is the only one who can help her move on, he follows and takes her from her hospital bed to a secret place. There he walks a delicate balance between saving her and destroying them both.
