Elena Rosewood has been terrified of the twisters in Oklahoma for as long as she remembers, but somehow she is always surrounded by people who love and chase them.

That includes her brother Scott who works for Storm Parr and her lifelong enemy, Tyler Owens. When the storm chasers are going head to head, Elena realizes that the only way to sabotage Tyler is to be a better chaser than him.

Elena exposes herself to her fears and finds herself wrapped up in a competition with Tyler that only makes her question if she really hates him.
