In 1985, Vincent "Vince" Romano's life takes a dark turn when he accidentally kills a member of the local Mafia. It's now 1988, and as a consequence, Vince is forced to pay a hefty sum of money to the Mafia every month to atone for his mistake. The Mafia's brutal retaliation leaves Vince with a deep scar, both physically and mentally, as he loses an eye and wears a medical eyepatch as a constant reminder of his debt and their cruelty.
